Since qualifying from The West Sussex College of Art and Design in 1980, Caz has followed a very varied career in graphic and product design as well as print.
” I was working as a graphic designer early on in my career and wanted to understand the process from design to finished print. I also felt this would give me an advantage in my graphic design work”.
She went on to study the preparation of artwork for press, media selection, proofing, quality control checking and the production of films and printing plates. Caz’s printing career involved many different kinds of printing processes, including, Screen, Lino, Letterpress and Offset Litho.
Having enjoyed the ‘prepress side’ Caz went on to run a prepress department for a web offset newspaper printing company and also ran her own film and platemaking business for a time.
Throughout her career Caz has always continued with her passion for painting and has explored many different types of media.
Over the years Caz has expanded on the more traditional types of painting and having always been interested in combining different types of media she has evolved new techniques, which include, three dimensional ink on foil and resin highlighted works. These new artworks ‘play with light’, providing texture and movement which enhance her chosen subjects.
